The Goldvein Volunteer Fire Department has immediate openings for the following positions:

Our department averages 750 incidents a year. Incidents we respond to include: structure fires, woods fires, vehicle fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, search and rescues, water rescues, and hazardous materials leaks.
Training is not required to join. We provide the necessary training at no cost to you.
Our members train in various capacities which include: basic firefighter courses, rope rescue, trench rescue, confined space, water rescue, hazards materials response, vehicle extrication, fire instructor, fire officer, emergency medical technician, aircraft rescue and firefighting, driving courses, and pump operations.
We have facilities to support and currently do have "live in" crews .
We currently have a total of three bunk rooms which contain a total of 10 beds, a TV, dressers and cabinets. In addition we have broadband Internet with WiFi, satellite TV, computers, cooking facilities, a shower, and laundry room.
Not only do we train, provide our services which include responding to fires, motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, hazardous material incidents, and public services, we are always taking on new projects to improve our facilities and equipment to better serve the community. In 2010 we took delivery of a new ambulance, in November 2011 our "attack" vehicle went through extensive upgrades, and in March of 2012 we took delivery of a brand new 3,000 gallon pumper tanker and new self contained breathing apparatus.
All turn out gear including helmets, boots, gloves, hood, pants, and coat is provided as well as uniforms and a pager in the event of a call while you are away from the station.

Included in the application process is a background check and medical physical. With your application paperwork please provide a copy of your drivers license, birth certificate, and or passport. You may make copies at our facility.
